  Comments: Symplocastrum in this sample, clusters with 2 to several filaments entangled. sheath at base firm, colorless, may also fluent?, later become fluent. Each trichome has its own sheath, trichome (3.0) 3.4 to 3.7 um wide. cells isodiametric or slightly longer or shorter than wide, maybe disarticulated towards to the ends. end cells conical or rounded. sheath usually beyong the trichome, open. Best fit S. penicillatum (Komarek and Anagnostids 2005).
