1 QUALIFIER:

  Qualifier Code: TaxaNote
Description: Notes taken about the taxa for a count; older data typically includes information such as beginning and end scan coordinates, unusual taxa, etc.
  Comments: Row 1 x 107, y 3, y 17. Only 89 valves counted in 1 hour of analysis. A full count would not be reached by 4 hours limit. Many broken pieces valves and frustules present in sample. Lots of large sediment particles, which could be the cause of broken cell walls and scarcity of diatoms. Continued count Row 2 x 106, y 17, y 2; Row 3 x 105, y 2, y 17; Row 4 x 104, y 17, y 2, Row 5 x 103, y 2, y 17; Row 6 x 17, y 17, y 2. I invested an extra half an hour on this slide because at 4 hours I was very close to 600 valves)
