  Comments: Row 1 x 42, y 87; y 103 Only 12 valves counted along first transect, which took 20 min to scan. A count of 600 valves would not be reached within 4 hours. Not enough valves to even reach a count of 100 vlaves. Scanning of the rest of the slide yielded: Navicula menisculus (2 valves), Encyonopsis minuta (2 valves), and Reimeria sinuata (1 valve).
