  Comments: Transect 1 (down): start x=90.0, y=17.0; end x=90.0, y=13.6 Transect 2 (up): start x=96.6, y=17.0; end x=96.6, y=19.3 Observations on individual taxa: - In the counts I kept separated the morphotype corresponding to Navicula minima Grunow in Van Heurck (Figs 128-142 in Wetzel et al. 2015) from "typical" Sellaphora saugerresii (e.g., Figs 112-127 in Wetzel et al. 2015). In this count: Sellaphora saugerresii "typical" = 5 valves Morphotype Navicula minima = 4 - In the counts I kept separated dwarf forms of Achnanthidium exiguum var. constrictum. These differ by small size, subrostrate ends, and extremely weak constriction, and might represent a separate taxon. In this count: Achnanthidium exiguum var. constrictum = 99 valves Achnanthidium exiguum var. constrictum DWARF = 3
