  Qualifier Code: TaxaNote
Description: Notes taken about the taxa for a count; older data typically includes information such as beginning and end scan coordinates, unusual taxa, etc.
Comments: Transect 1 (down) start x=96.5, y=17.0; end x=96.5, y=11.6 Transect 2 (down) start x=94.5, y=17.0; end x=94.5, y=13.0 Observations on individual taxa: - Nitzschia palea SHORT SUBCAPITATE = 15 valves Nitzschia palea = 0 (detailed explanation in count note of sample NEON00323) - In the counts I kept separated the morphotype corresponding to Navicula minima Grunow in Van Heurck (Figs 128-142 in Wetzel et al. 2015) from "typical" Sellaphora saugerresii (e.g., Figs 112-127 in Wetzel et al. 2015). In this count: Sellaphora saugerresii "typical" = 29 valves Morphotype Navicula minima = 2
