  Comments: Transect 1: start x=92.0, y=18.0; end x=92.0, y=7.0 Transect 2: start x=94.0, y=18.0; end x=94.0, y=14.7 Observed taxa: Pleurosigma salinarum Observations on individual taxa: - Nitzschia palea SHORT SUBCAPITATE = 20 valves Nitzschia palea = 6 (detailed explanation in count note of sample NEON00323) - In the counts I kept separated the morphotype corresponding to Navicula minima Grunow in Van Heurck (Figs 128-142 in Wetzel et al. 2015) from "typical" Sellaphora saugerresii (e.g., Figs 112-127 in Wetzel et al. 2015). In this count: Sellaphora saugerresii "typical" = 39 valves Morphotype Navicula minima = 3 Some pseudaerial species. Auxospore / initial cell of Sellaphora saugerresii. Post-initial cells of Gomphonema kobayasii, Halamphora veneta.
