1 QUALIFIER:
Qualifier Code: TaxaNote Description: Notes taken about the taxa for a count; older data typically includes information such as beginning and end scan coordinates, unusual taxa, etc. Comments: 4 transects counted to reach 600 valves; from transect 1 to the next, the slide is moved to the right. Brachysira cf. neglectissima is very similar to Brachysira neglectissima, except the ends are broadly rounded and slightly asymmetrical on the apical axis. The width are varied from 3.42 to 5.53 microns. The length:width ratio are widely variable, from 1.85 to 5.85. Voigt fault not resolvable. More info see Diatom plates on PowerPoint (File=NEONCRAM2019, page 2).I am not sure about the identification of Nitzschia perminuta, the specimens are very similar to N. fonticola due to subcapitate ends, shortly drawn out and fibulae in the center are further apart from each other. For Fallacia sp. 1 and Sellaphora sp. 1 see Diatoms plates PowerPoint (File=NEONCRAM2019, page 1)
