This station was set on the White River in Independence County, Arkansas approximately 700 yards downstream from Wright Island near Magness, Arkansas. The river was approximately 140 yards wide and the station was approximately 200 yards long. The right bank was steep and covered with trees. Some clumps of canebrake were growing at the bottom of the bank. There was one large, fallen tree in the water near this bank. The water was deep along this side. The left bank was composed of a gravel and sand beach with clumps of grass growing in a random pattern. At the upper end of the station there was a stream which, during the 1973 survey, was flowing out of the river and up into Big Creek. The stream was tree lined and a series of small flooded trees stretched out from the stream down along the left bank. (1974 report.)
