Cumberland River, Davidson Co, TN, US
NEON domain: not applicable
state: Tennessee (TN)
The banks at Stations 4 were not considered separately because the river below the dam was narrow and mixing was probably quite good. Station 4 is located approximately 1 1/2 miles below Hills Island and almost at Mile No. 208. This station, similarly to Station 3, was characterized by a wide mud flat extending into the water, with variation in immersion also similar to those at Station 3. There were considerable piles of dredged-up limestone on the shores, which created moderately good habitats. Station 4 is located in Davidson County.
