Cumberland River, Davidson Co, TN, US
NEON domain: not applicable
state: Tennessee (TN)
The banks at Stations 3 were not considered separately because the river below the dam was narrow and mixing was probably quite good. Station 3 is located approximately 200 yards upstream from the Swinging Bridge Boat Dock and about 1/4 mile upstream from the entrance to Dry Creek. A wide mud-flat extending into the river was the primary habitat. Due to changes in water level, frequent changes occurred in amount of exposure of this flat. Station 3 is located in Davidson County. (1959 report.) The 1965 & 1973 reports add: Large piles of dredged-up limestone were near the shore. (1965 & 1973 reports.) | latitude in decimal: 36.294444
