The location of this station was about three miles downstream from the duPont plant. The bedrock here was Taylor Marl and Bentonite Clay. The stream bed consisted for the most part of sand, except for clay-mud shores. The right bank was very steep. The left bank sloped back more gently into wooded pasture land. (1962 & 1973 reports.)
