Green River, KY, US
NEON domain: not applicable
state: Kentucky (KY)
Location: A short distance below the plant site near mile marker 98.2. Description: The right bank of Station 2 was steep and tree-lined for its entire length. The leaves and branches of some of these trees were partially submerged. The river bed dropped off very sharply from a narrow, hard shelf which ran along this bank. The left bank was similar to the right bank except at the lower end. There, a number of fallen trees and other wood created large triangular bed of mud and silt with a gradual slope. At the outer edge of this bed the river bottom dropped off very sharply. There were a few fallen trees in the water about the middle of this bank. Toward the middle the river was 30-40 feet deep and the bottom was hard sand and clay with some rocks. (1961 report.) The 1965 report says this station was located a short distance below the plant site near mile 98. (1965 report.) | latitude in decimal: 37.284950
