| This station, located on the Clinch River, extended for a distance of 100 yards near Route 627. The upstream edge of the station was approximately a half mile downstream from the bridge where US Routes 23 and 58 cross the Clinch River. The area is very similar to that of Station IV. The gradients are similar and in both instances the river bed is composed of bedrock and water-borne rocks, rubble and sand. There are small patches of mud along the edge of the stream.
