| This station is about 4 river miles downstream from the Route 50 bridge at Vienna. The river at this station was about 700 yards wide. There were extensive beds of emergent aquatic reeds along both sides. Two small creeks entered at the upper and lower limits of the right side. The shores were composed of peaty mud, while the bottom substrate was generally firm and composed of silt and sand along both sides. The was part of a sunken boat near the upper right bank and a few pilings near the lower left. (1969 & 1970 report.) |
