REMARK: Suggested by MBE after workshop; close to true deflexum; diatom taxonomic coordinator agreed. Determined during 10th workshop. New transfer. Transferred to new genus in Krammer, K. and H. Lange-Bertalot. 2004.p 442. We need to check material and see if we have two different things. Maybe A. pinnata is not a synonym of conspicua Determined by Krammer and Lange-Bertalot (1991) to be an incipient form of Navicula cryptotenella. Checked by EAM. Newly transferred.
